6 Months On

I cannot believe it was over six months ago when I first dreamed up this project.
Things are progressing slowly - but I hope there will be an exponential growth in the project in the next 2 months. Hopefully I will have some exciting news and a new website before the end of August - with loads more details.

We have a strong contender for a director, we have a script being (re)written and options on three others in case the original doesn't meet the grade. These are exciting times.

The Blood Will Flow Tonight...

Tonight I hope to do some film/photo tests on fake blood. Not having time to nip to tescos I will have to see what I have in the cupboards at home.

Short Horror Film

Though the blog has not been updated for a while there has been some progress.

Firstly I must thank the 100s of people that have shown their support so far.
Secondly I must tell you about a little side project. We are currently working on a short film. This serves three purposes.
1) To act as a 'teaser' for our main feature
2) To show investors what can be acheived from a low budget.
3) To act as a mini prequel for the main feature

The short will be made using a 'household quality' digital camcorder, though for the main feature we will be renting professional equipment.

Broken Heart(eater)ed

Just like to say congratulations to Adam Mason and Simon Boyes for showing that a microbudget horror movie can look fantastic. Their project, formally known as The HeartEater, is now finished bar some tinkering the project has a new name - Broken - and is really looking good. The site has been re launched and although there is no trailer at the moment there are some great images giving us a taste of qulity UK indie filmmaking.

OK so the main site was launched today with the following press release:

HorrorShare.co.uk Will Be Offering Shares In Its Forth Coming Horror Movie To The UK Public

January, 2006 -- HorrorShare (www.horrorshare.co.uk) is producing a publicly funded horror movie. With the aim to produce a top quality movie with a little budget. We will be taking skilled and experienced film crew and cast in order to produce the movie.

We will be selecting the cast and crew BUT you can be a part of it by buying a share in our production.

Horrorshare has already enlisted the help of two experience UK Independent filmmakers and has its eyes on a well know British actor for a major role.

We are looking to raise £100,000+ in order to cover necessary expenses in to produce this Horror movie. We aim to raise this money through sale of shares.

If you buy a share in the movie you will receive a share pack, certificate, dividends from any profits and other perks.

The payout/dividend would be proportional to the number of Shares you buy.

In the age of Digital TV, DVD retail and rental, and pay-per-view there is a bigger market than ever for independent movies. Ideally we see there being a theatrical release, followed by a DVD release. Revenue for the share holder will depend on world wide distribution of the finished film, typically the distributor will issue a % of the profit made by the film back to the producers of the film, this % less any costs will be paid back to the shareholders.

At this time Horrorshare (www.horrorshare.co.uk) is collecting interest not money. The aim is to only collect money from interested parties once we have enough interest to warrant proceeding with the production.

This is the official blog of my NEW project.
Sorry if there is little in the way of detail here BUT just wait and see, I am hoping that this should be one huge project that should of interest to a lot of people.
Sorry to be so canded.
I am currently creating a site, and I hope to have full details availble to all some time in the first couple of months of 2006.
If it is the year 2009 and you are reading this post, and it is the only post on the blog, well everything didn't quite go to plan.
